Those of you who regularly visit Amped News may have noticed that things have been a bit shaky as of late. Updates have become sporadic, and content production hasn’t exactly been what it once was. There are a few reasons for this, but chief among them has been the departure of Amped News from our parent company WiredLabs. Our move to the independent scene (again) is currently happening and we are in a transitional phase.
This doesn’t mean we are going to abandon the site during this period due to the increased workload of an independent entity. In fact, we’re hoping updates will come along at a more consistent rate as things begin to settle. The site will remain mostly the same, but there will be some changes to the site’s design and functionality including our new name, Gamer 2.0.
We believe Gamer 2.0 is memorable and encompasses the ultimate purpose of our site: giving user’s unparalleled levels of customization and intimacy through the services we currently offer and a collection of new features we’re looking to develop. We’re very proud of our product and in the content we have to offer and while we’re down, we’re far from out.
Over the next few weeks you will all witness the birth of Gamer 2.0. Aesthetically, it will look very much the same as it does now, but the energy from our staff and the quality of our content itself will mark the commencement of a new chapter in our history.
We ask that you bear with us during this change and continue visiting. The new web address is www.gamer20.com which is currently redirecting to Amped News; so be sure to bookmark it now so you're not confused later. Please email any comments, inquiries, or hate mail to Editor-In-Chief, Amadeo Plaza, at a.plaza@ampednews.com. Or, if you'd like you can just leave a comment here.
Thank you for your continued support, and stick with us as we go through these rough changes.
